"Somehow, in 2009, from an idea on paper, gogreek® was started by George Yonas, a graphic designer and Creative Director at the company Yonas Design. "Since 1988, we have designed hundreds of packages for products, mostly food for large production companies. Our central idea was a series of Greek products that would promote Greek culture through a modern approach. With this in mind, we designed drafts and made some samples. When in 2011, I presented the whole idea for gogreek® to the businesswoman Ms. Elina Psimiti, she was immediately enthusiastic and decided to strongly support the whole endeavor," says Mr. Yonas. It started with the "gogreek collectibles®" collections, which are miniatures with ouzo of exceptional quality "dressed" in traditional Greek costumes in collectible packaging. It continued with the twelve gods of Olympus, with heroes of mythology and antiquity, and with heroes of 1821. Over time, other product collections were added to the "gogreek collectibles®", extra virgin olive oil and elegant everyday use items, such as coasters, pillowcases, mugs, keychains, backgammon, scarves, etc. with themes from Greek mythology, history and tradition, which is expressed through modern Greek design. gogreek® is constantly expanding with new products and is an ideal gift for collectors, as well as for every visitor who wants to take with them a gift that expresses Greek culture. gogreek® products have won many awards in Greece and abroad for their design and packaging.
